The Guide2J is missing/not working.
The Weather is missing the "Details" button.

Any chance of getting the weather up on the main screen? Would it be through the VA-panel?

Great skin!

Great skin!

This sounds interesting, but I'm at a loss. You'll need to educate me. If possible, show me a screen image from another skin that does this. Tell me about the VA-panel.

Well, I don't know much about the VA-panel, (and nothing about skinning with it ;-) but I'll try to give you some starting points.
Look at the top of the BlueMCE2 skin preview image and you'll see some info about the current song that is playing. I believe that is the the MusicPanel.

Now, the VA-panel is included in the video archive plug-in. It will, among other things, display the current weather and weather for tomorrow. (I did not find any preview image of it.)

Looking in the configuration of the weather plugin (in the GB-PVR configuration tool) you can select "Show current conditions as task image" as well as "Display on Video Archiver panel".

Hope this get's you started.

(To get some general info about this, see the old thread about ways to make gbpvr prettier.)

I got the weather conditions task image using The Color Collection and selecting the "Show current conditions as task image" option as you described.

Well, I was going to try that but your skin collection page is so popular that it's currently closed down :-(

Nice skin. I'm going to put it up for the wife to see this weekend.

Any chance you have some snowman task images? I relize they look a little like snowmen, but I thought I would ask.

Another question, why dont you extend your skinning to all the plugins? Too much work? I like your button styles and background's, and if I have time I'm going to try to unify the plugin appearance by mapping all the correct button images.

Is it just too much of a commitment?

I'm at a loss regarding snowman vs. snowmen. Please expand a little.

Regarding plug-ins, I would like to complete the skins for the plug-ins shipped with GBPVR. I have them all except FM Radio. I don't have an FM tuner in my system so I keep putting it off.

Beyond that, I have done Weather and System Status.

I have started other plug-ins but seem to run into obstacles. A few times I have ended up reinstalling GBPVR because a plug-in installation didn't work out. Probably my own fault but...

Also, when I redo a skin, I tend to move everthing around, maybe just a bit. While I occasionally have difficulty with sub's plug-ins, I have always found a work-around, not so with some of the others.

Finally, what order should I take. Opinions in ones and twos are nice, but it would really be nice to have some actual usage statistics. I see no solution to this.

Even for my own skins, I suspect I have at least a couple dozen users, but I don't really know how many. Is it worthwhile reskinning a plug-in I don't use? Maybe, maybe not.

Best Regards,
David

This is a very good point, and I think it would be very worthwhile to have some form of objective poll showing what plug-ins are most used, skins adopted, etc.

Not necessarily to focus development on the popular (and conversely abandonment of the not-so-popular), but to aid in ensuring compliance and integration with the majority of users.... I think it could be quite surprising.

I guess I wasn't clear. On your christmas skin in turned on the task images, which look a little like "snowpeople". But what I was asking is, do you have
any task images that look like a real "snowman" It would add an another nice element to your Christmas skin.

Sorry if I was confusing.

Regarding the other plugin's I can see why you didn't try to do everyone. Its kind of hard to figure out what plugin's people are using.
