comclean & comskip

alright, i'm using comskip .64, it detects commercials, and from comparing what i see it's right....

i then run comclean on the mpg, and it gives resulting cutpoints, etc.. which are also right...

i then watch the output file and there are commercials. not like it missed something, but more like it never removed anything.

looks to me that everything is working correctly, but it's just not doing anything.

anyone have any idea whats up?

Did you read the comclean wiki on how to get information on errors when running comclean?

erik, i saw that stuff, but there weren't any errors that i saw, it appeared to have worked correctly.

If the PTS in the MPEG recording is corrupt there will be an error message you only can see by applying the logging described in the wiki.

I don't know if this helps you but when i first started using comclean i found that GBpvr was showing me the original file instead of the cleaned file. I had the bat file delete the original and all was well. I'm using the Video Archiver plug but it may not be only that, it could be anything that is reading the database.

Did you manually try to view the cleaned file? Did that show the file was cleaned correctly?

Indeed have difficulty when a file is renamed. They still refer to the renamed file so you have to delete the renamed file to get the right file.

i was actually opening the cleaned file directly, not through gbpvr.
