"Hiccups" on HDTV

I'm having a minor problem with my HDTV setup: whenever I play a program the sound will "hiccup" shortly every 5 or 10 seconds. At first I thought this was a reception issue but it seems to be an issue with the PC possibly. Could there be any particular cause to this? Thanks

There really isnt really too much you can tweak. All you can really do is try a different video decoder (with both Overlay and VMR9) and if you're talking about recordings you can also try a different mux.

Might be worth checking the discussion on quartz.dll. It's another possibility.

What is your HDTV setup? I dont see it in your sig.
