HDTV and Channel Lineups

I've just installed two DVico Fusion Lite 5's in my system. I ranthe channel scan from the manufacturer sw and found quite a few channels (some suprisingly, like ESPNHD). If I try to tune them in gbpvr, they come-up just static. Now, I know I need to add some additional config info to tune these however, the suggested method using antennaweb yields fewer channels (no ESPNHD). My question: is there any way to take the DVico configs and import/manually enter it into gbpvr?

If you're getting ESPN you must have it connected to cable. I don't think GB-PVR will work with cable input at this point, only off-the-air, which is what you got from antennaweb. The Dvico software will tune cable channels if they're not encrypted but GB-PVR won't.

zed is correct, the current dvico BDA drivers cant be used for cable channels in third party apps. They currently use a private interface for tuning QAM channels over cable. Anyone have any contacts at dvico?

Really? I was under the impression that if the card could do it (ie qam), then gbpvr could use it. No? If not, that is unfortunate, and why not? Furthermore, what could I do to help add this feature?

FYI, QAM support by DViCO is EXTREMELY buggy. They still don't have it figured out. There's a HUGE thread on this subject over at the AVS forums if anyone is curious to look into it.

Do you have a link? Also, by buggy, what do you mean? You mean as far as access from third party sw?

So, these cards can only do OTA through gbpvr right now - not even analog cable? If so, I'm really interested in fixing that. Are there any cards that will qam and/or analog cable (us) from within gbpvr?

While I'm at it - I took a look at the linux support for these cards, and it is supposedly there. Why couldn't we reuse their code?
