Would it be possible to make the minimal osd to display channel number and the name of the program....

No. The whole idea behind the minimal OSD was to show no OSD unless explicitly requested. Its primarily for MVP users, where if you show *any* OSD information, things grind to a halt. Its not the amount of information that matters, but rather that it is being shown at all. The MVP just cant hack it.

Sure there is. Make the images (the blue and/or green bars) transparent.
You can never have enough tuners!

Not on the MVP. If you show any OSD information, performance will suck.

im not using MVP.... as far as i can tell the images on the OSD are transparent..Im using the Contour skin
