Hi sub,

is it possible to integrate a "sleeptimer" for LiveTV? Sometimes i looking TV and sleep some Minutes later. The PC is then running NonStop at fullpower.

It were nice, if u could enter a timeperiod (15, 30, 45, 60, 120 Minutes) before GB-PVR stops automatically the watching of Live-TV or Radio/NetRadio.

Only plugins like these above, not the whole Program. A Shutdownmanager is uninteresting, the standyby-function within Windows is uninteresting too.

Only a Sleep-Timer would be good :-D

It is actually on my to do list, but its pretty low priority so I probably wont be doing it anytime soon.

This is a great idea. Not only for TV and Net Radio but any of the music players as well. I often go off to work or anywhere else and come back to find I'd left the music playing again, as well as the dropping off to sleep at inopportune times. Smile

This is my vote for a bump, if we get a vote of course Smile

After you have made the sleep timer, the same guys will be asking for an alarm to wake them up from their sleeping!

Actually, I requested this feature a month ago and betlit was kind enough to adjust the Shutdown plugin to include this. He was able to succesfully add it to and make it work for the local PC machine but not yet succesful with a MVP. It's still buggy but it might work for you. Betlit has not been able to finish it yet but I hope he does not mind my giving it out. Place files to appropriate locations and adjust in config. Make backups before anything. Am giving you the last beta that Betlit sent me.

The following is from Betlit:

"you can activate the timer in two ways:

1. select shutdown on the main menu. when you see the shutdown-plugin menu, hit 'GO' on your remote (or F11 on the keyboard as its normally set). you can then cycle through the sleep-time in 10 minutes steps.

2. if you add the plugin to the videoplugin (you have to manually edit config.xml...
just edit the 'VideoPlugin1'-lines and replace them with <VideoPlugin1>Shut Down</VideoPlugin1> (note the case and the blank!)).
after this, you can invoke the timer during watching live tv/recording/video/dvd by hitting 1, GO on your remote or 1, F11 on your keyboard) and cycle through the time like mentioned above.

when the sleep timer is about to shut down your machine while you are watching something, a warning countdown is displayed a couple of seconds (see config) before. hit 'back' or 'GO' on your remote (esc or f11 on keyboard) to cancel.

NOTE: if a recording is running or about to begin, the sleep timer won't shut down the machine!

please let me know if it works (it should.. but i don't have an mvp to fully test it).

as i said: its rudimentary. but i think its enough. :-) let me know if you have some more suggestions.

greets

Betlit"

*sending life signs"

i just want you to know that i have not abandoned gbpvr. unfortunately, i'm still under a bulk of work here. we are in the last steps of finishing a project (and it _has_ to be finished by 1.1.2006)... so the last couple months were a bit stressful.

additional, i will leave my current company and start at another one in january... new project, new company, new workplace Smile

so i hope to be able to spend more time again for gbpvr, soon.
