MVP Screen Saver

Hi Guys,

I think this has been asked before,but I can't seem to find it on the Forums.

Is there anyway of Changing the screen saver on the MVP,stopping it ,or change the timings?

Not at this time, this information is hard coded in the dongle.bin firmware file that is loaded when your power the MVP unit. Others have asked and hauppauge may change this process in the future but at this time it is locked. Hauppauge also will not released the source code to this file so we will have to wait for them.

I am most puzzled,

I use an mvp for hours on end using the jukebox plugin and have never seen the screen saver come on, I am in the opposite postition of wondering how to make it start as I really dont want the gbpvr logo burnt onto my television picture.

The only time I see the screen saver is if I exit the gbpvr application on the mvp then the screen saver starts

tkgafs: I know that the early MVP didnt have a screensaver at all, and that it came with a firmware upgrade... May I ask what firmware you are running? I want to get rid of the annoying thing (im im not going to call it anything worse...)

If I leave my TV on the Main Menu of GBPVR the screen saver comes up within a ferw minutes. If I pause a show and walk away it does not. I will have to pay closer attention to it because I dont know now.

I have a D3A MVP and I am running dongle.bin from mediamvpsetup_2_2_22223.exe

I've been having a similair problem. The screen saver on the MVP comes on when I pause recorded video. What is worse, however, is that sometimes the MVP seems to lockup and I can't get the unit to restart the video. Anyone else having this problem? Any ideas what I am doing wrong?
