When I watch a show delayed in timeshift mode, it looks as good as live TV. But when I record a show at high quality it looks really bad, but not in the usual too much compression sorta way. It's really smooth and everything, but it has a ton of static. Any ideas?

Its most likely the video decoder you're using. Play one of these files, then attach your gbpvr.exe-native.log file and I'll take a look.

There is nothing really obvious in the logs. Can you post a screenshot so we know what you're talking about exactly?

Thats actually looks like bad reception to me.

What type of capture device do you have?

I've got 2 PVR 150's. It looks good live or when in timeshift, just not when I record.

These will be using the last capture device

Quote: just not when I record.
This will be using the first capture device.

Sounds like bad reception on that one device.

That looks like reception to me, too. If you're somehow watching on one and recording on the other, you may have a bad cable or splitter.

Try plugging each line going into each card directly into the TV and see what you get.

Ahhhh, shoulda figured that out. That is definitly the problem, guess my splitter just stinks. Any recommendations for a good brand?

Thanks very much for helping me sort this out!
