I just upgraded to v0.95.16 and when I did, it seems to have messed up my channel lineup. Before updating, I copied the entire GBPVR directory structure to another directory ...can I use anything in there (perhaps the Access database ?) to restore my channel lineup ? If I can't restore the entire database, can I restore specific tables to restore the channel lineup?

While we're on the topic, can somebody please explain how the channel lineup works ? I've tried setting it up a number of ways and it doesn't work - starting to feel like an idiot  I'm using an OLD DirecTV receiver which gets the local channels in the 900 range; so, for example, I get channel 3 on 925. I'd like channel 925 to appear as 3 in the TV guide but pull down the TV guide info from zap2it's channel 925. As such, I thought that on the recording source channel lineup, I'd have channel NAME of 925 WBTV and channel NUMBER of 925 wheras in the lineup on the CHANNELS tab, I'd have channel name of 925 WBTV and channel number of 3. When I do this though, I get no program info for this channel....

How does GBPVR matchup my channels to the Zap2It listing..by channel NUMBER or by channel NAME ?

Lastly, in trying to remove channels from my recording source channel lineup(Somehow I ended up with what appears to be hundreds of channels in the 2000 range), it takes about a MINUTE to delete one channel using the REMOVE button. I have a 3 Ghz processor and woud be suprised if this is the norm...any ideas ? Is there any faster way to delete large numbers of channels ?

Any help would be MUCH appreciated !!

What exactly happened? Upgrading shouldnt change anything about your channel lineup. I havnt seen any other comments that indicated anything like this.

Yes, that should be what you need to do.

It does it by name. During the EPG update it builds up a list of shows associated with 925 WBTV, then during the save it checks it already has a channel in the database with that name. If so, it saves the listing against that channel in the database. This should work fine with you having changed the channel number, since this is ignored by the EPG processing.

I actually forgot a database index in v0.95 which can cause this. I've had similar symptoms pointed out by other dish and directv customers - other havnt really noticed or commented. dish and directv users typically have a much larger number of programs in their database make some actions like this take longer. I've corrected it in the next release.

I should point out though, most people remove the channels at the zap2it end of things otherwise they still need to be fully processed by GB-PVR. After removing them at the zap2it end, its probably best to recreate you GB-PVR capture source, or if you need to keep it intact you can just disable the channel.
