First things first, great program Sub.

I have a quick question, my MSOH won't take my HTPC into use until she can play her radio stations all day on it. It just so happens that none of the stations that she listens too are on the internet which means I must give her a nice easy page where she can select her FM stations. I was wondering how to make another page for FM radio transmissions which mimics the Net Radio page but instead lists her 4 or 5 stations instead. I have a PVR USB2 in the post (PVR250 for me & FM Tuner for her)! Is there an easy way to set this up?

Thanks in advance,

Shappers...

I'm not sure every supported card has an FM tuner, but I could be wrong. If they don't a radio option would be somewhat pointless. Perhaps there could be some way to call another app to listen to the radio? I'm not certain, my FM antenna is in my receiver not my PVR, this just makes a lot more sense to me.

You could use the Hauppauge FM radio application - not pretty but should work. You could put a special task in GBPVR to do it, or someone could write a plugin to do it (call the Hauppauge app).

Thanks Andy. That was the same conclusion I had come to, not elegant but at least functional. Perhaps some smart person reading this could write a plug-in to do this. With the PVR350 and the PVR250MCE / USB2 cards all having FM tuners I'm sure it would be a popular addition.

Thanks,

I'd offer to write a plugin for this, but as I don't have the FM radio on my card, this would be challengingSmile

If no one else steps up to the plate, letme know and I'll take a look into this,

Colin.

Thanks Colin,

I thought that I would add this link to this thread in case either you or someone else wanted to create this plug-in. It looks like it may be a simple task for someone as the WinTV program allows you to start the radio app with a certain frequency and minimised to the system tray. It just need some knowledge in creating the plug-in and page. I'm sure that I or many other people with FM on their card would be willing to test anything you could put together..

Thanks...

I have the 250MCE card and it has a FM radio. I should have the time soon to put together this plugin unless someone beats me to it.

@Shappers:

If i get some time tonight, I'll knock out something simple to get you stated.

@CodeMonkey:

When do you plan to attack this? any idea how we could use the radio driver/dll directly to save using the external app?

Cheers,
