Hi.

I've been using VideoArchive as more or less my only interface for retrieving recordings, and it has been working brilliantly until recently.

I have a subdirectory in my main recording folder where I move all the kids shows recordings to. It has appeared flawlessly in the recordings overview, but not so long ago it is no longer appearing in the main overview, but interestingly enough it appears in the "New Recodings" overview, from where I have access to all the subfolders with all the shows regardless of recording date.

I suspect it may be a volume problem of some sort. The folder contains 262GB recordings put in 68 subfolders containing approx. 550 shows. In total VA 'sees' 3 disks containing:
D: 611 mpg-files / 352GB
C: 341 mpg-files / 315GB
F: 36 mpg-files / 38GB

I've tried to take the archive disks C: and F: out of the VA-config but to no avail.

Any hints to what I could try?

I'm currently using the workaround of accessing the shows through the New Recordings folder, but if that for some reason fails I'll have an immediate family crisis ...

I'm running XP SP2 fully updated and latest versions of GBPVR and VA.

Are you using the very latest version that I posted a few days ago? If so, if you zip up all of the archive*.log files in the jeff subdirectory and post them I can take a look.

Thanks for the quick response! Smile

Well, I actually had the version i DL'ed 18.december running :o . After upgrading just now, apart from the nice improvements in the latest version (thanks!), the problem remains.

I've zipped all but the 140MB (5,3MB compressed) "archiver-MVP-Video Archive Render FillFileList.log" into this file. The large one in a file by itself here. I didn't upload in the forum due to repeating error reports from the forum database trying to upload.

The render filelist log is from a much older version. What you might try doing is deleting all the .log files in the Jeff directory and then run things again.

Jeff:

I ran across a small problem that got by me in testing, i'm sorry.

The conflicts section is working fine with one exception. It's reporting the wrong date for the conflict, but only on the VA panel. I have a conflict for next tuesday the 17th, the VA panel is reporting the conflict for this tuesday instead.

I have never before cleaned anything up in the Jeff folder other than at my last clean install, so there are probably some things in there for archaeologists...

Anyway, a new log-zip with all fresh content is available here. Smile

Hi Jeff.

Any evidence from the logfiles or any suggestions to what I could try? Smile

I have been travelling on business and have not had a chance to look at these yet. I'll try to this week.
