Hi, seeing as we're on a roll with DVB-T broadcasts in the UK right now I have another question! Anyone know why I can't get a channel freq to appear next to BBC 3 and BBC 4? I think it may be something to do with the fact they share freq with CBBC and CBeebies? But if that's the case then why are other channels showing as having no freq? E4 being one of them although E4+1 does! If I select the channels to include them when I go back to look at the epg map they are unselected again! Sorry to waffle on! :o

Hmmm, I get this problem as well sometimes, not quite sure what causes it, bound to be quite confusing for a newbie!

Try this: uncheck and delete the E4 (with no data next to it) from your channel list. Then go back to the channel scanning menu and select E4 again. It should appear in your channel list complete with frequency and PID data. Same for BBC3/4 - but you may have to rescan again tonight after 7pm to be able to add them again.

Let us know how you get on!

PC: 3GHz AMD, 1GB RAM, XP Pro SP2.
TV stuff: Nova-T 909, Nova-T 90002, TwinHan clone TechniSat Skystar, 2xMVP.
Wireless link PC->router
Wired link router->MVP1
Wireless link router->Edimax EW-7206 54g Access Point->MVP2

Issues:
- Rubbish reception, due to dodgy set-top aerial
- MVP occasionally losing connection with PC

This is one reason why the xmltv solution works better. There, all you have to do is define:-

BBC3 = CBBC
BBC4 = CBeebies

and you'll get both channels listed, both will show up in the EPG but will simply be blank at the times where there's no broadcast.

Hiya Nemulate, are you still having this problem or did my idea fix it?

BBC3, BBC4 and ITV4 keep disappearing randomly, no matter how many times I add them back. Really annoying me now, caused me to miss Caught On A Train on BBC4 last night :mad:

Actually I've gone down the xmltv route now using xmltvgui which is great! As a side note also 'borrowed' some great channel logos from another free htpc project!
