Hi

I am having troubles with my Channel changing on the external cable box and would like to be able to log exactly what GBPVR is doing in this area so that I can determine whether there is a problem with GBPVR or my external channel changer.

Also is there anyway to ensure that channel change is always sent by GBPVR regardless of the last channel it was on.

For example. Goto live TV and goto Channel 22. Goto Guide and select channel 22. Exit TV and then Go Back to LiveTV Channel 22.
Can GBPVR be set up to explicitly change the channel each time - not just remember what the last tuned channel was? If so - how would I do this.

Cheers

GB-PVR always sends the channel number. It doesnt attempt to remember what channel you were on last.

It logs the channel change events to the logs (either gbpvr.exe.log or gbpvrrecordingservice.exe.log).

What channel changer are your using?

csevent.exe

This is the communication server for Girder 4.0. It works most of the time in Live TV, but never works in scheduled record mode.

It should since it is a Internet server and should not matter which user is sending the command as long as they have the correct password.

When you watch live tv, its running in your same account and session. When you run in the recording service, it running as a different account (localsystem).

I'm not familiar with csevent.exe, but if its anything like like the older event.exe, then it might be trying to use WM_COPYDATA to transfer data via the clipboard. This wont work between two different deslktop sessions.
