"xrecord-fixed code to generate videoredo project"

What exactly does this do? i have videoredo and was wondering how this will work with xrecord. Does it just create a project file or can it be used to run a batch after a recording to remove commercials similar to comskip.

If you drop the sageredo.exe into the gbpvr directory this option appears.

First you see videoredo when you select it, it will generate a video redo project. The video redo option will disappear and be replaced by cut video. If you select that it will cut the commercials out. And finally an accept when the video is finished. You can then accept the changes.

You can setup a batch to cut with videoredo after recording. I like to check my videos first before cutting.

Not sure if this was a normal bug or a situational one:

I had a program in there pending I canceled (not the problem). When I tried to delete the program (two of them), the pop-up window would not close. I needed to use the mouse to click to something else.

May not happen normally when deleting...maybe it was because it lost the parent.

jorm, thanks for your reply...

i havent loaded the latesst version yet, sorry about the questions.

You said the option appears after the drop, where does it appear? in xrecord where the "run cdk" option is.

Could you post a copy of your batch file for me to view. So your batch file for videoredo allows you to view the marked commercials before cutting? Are you using video redo to view and accept the cuts or is this all done thur xrecord?

I too prefer to check my marks first before cuts...

Thank you for such a great application

when you click ok on a show, where play, find more, delete etc... are.
it will say "VideoRedo"

the batch file will be generated for you by the plugin to create the project.

I wish I could pull up a video redo like screen, I have not been able to get the video extracting working real time.... yet.... So you can drive the video through 3 steps.

1) Generate the project if comskip is present and sageredo.exe is in gbpvr.
2) If vprj exist Cut the project (creating a new video called show-cut.mpg), old one is still there.
3) (if the cut file is present) accept changes. You can view the show as a mpeg inside gbpvr. Accept will delete the old one and rename show-cut.mpg to show.

I use it after I watch a show that I want to keep( I know if the commercials are right).

Comskip is also required?
Do i need to have comskip installed also?

Does videoredo do the actual commercial detection or does comskip do it?
