Did you follow the guide for setting up HDTV tuners? http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Confi...HDTVSource

ok, I have installed every new driver from ATI... I have followed the directions for setting up an OTA HD connection... I have a populated guide. However there is no TV Sad
Also, when I choose a channel to watch... and all I get is a black screen... how do I exit from there back to the menu without having to close the entire program ? I have tried everything know.
I don't want to give up on this program... and I don't want to pay for something like Meedio or Sage unless I have to... perhaps I should invest in a better HD video card.
Does anyone have direct experience with the ATI HDTV WONDER card in conjuction with the GBPVR software ?
Thanks a bunch y'all Big Grin

I have the ati HD card and have gotten it working. You have to follow those HD directions exactally!!! you have to use commas when putting in the stations into your list.

the other thing is, can you see the tv stations using the ati software? If you can't get the stations with their software, you won't be able to see tv on gbpvr. So make sure you can watch tv with the given software then work on gbpvr. It is really nice when it works though =)

One other thing, I have had to upgrade since getting HD, I had to get 1GB of ram and I'm upgrading my CPU to a 2Ghz. Just so I can watch it with out the skips. Also, you should have XP. it doesn't work so well with out the DVR-MS driver. (which comes on xp)

Happy viewing.

Yes I can view both cable channels and OTA HD channels with my ATI software.

I followed the directions to a t. I even used commas.

I have an AMD64 3500+ w/1gig dual channel ram. I have an NVIDIA GeFORCE 6600gt vid card ...

zip and attach your logs and I'll take a look to see if I can see anything obvious.

oh...are you able to hear the audio? in the configuration, I also had to change in the playback tab software mpg-2 playback to cyberlink/sp decoder(ati)

I also have the overlay to overlay manager.

are you able to hear the sound but no audio, or are you just not getting anything at all.

Also are you able to change the channel to the next one (I know you can't see anything, but) are you able to see the overlay saying it's going to the next channel?

also what resolution is your nvidia set to? chang it to at least 800x640 if it's not already.

Are you using Windows XP??
don't give up. Your system looks ready to rock an roll, there is probably just one stupid adjustment(it's always just something overlooked). Then it will be smooth sailing. It's an awesome program with the worlds greatest tech support. (go Sub! You ROCK!)

I am not giving up yet... I have been real busy. I am using XP.
I used the ATI software to watch some HD during the superbowl and I found that using the antenna provided with my ATI HD Wonder I could not get the best of signals. So, I ordered a channel master and I am waiting for that to arrive. So most likely next weekend you will see me on here posting away. I will start by checking your suggested tweaks.
I also have a copy of windows media center.
