VLC Setup?

How do I setup VLC(client-side) so I can stream recorded shows through the WebAdmin?

In the webadmin/manage recordings tab, I click play program for a certain show. Then it asks what I want to do with the ****.m3u file (open/save/etc), I choose open. Than it is opened with vlc player. You might have to change file associations so that vlc is the standardplayer for m3u files.
