I don't know what is really going on, but when I am looking at the main menu in GBPVR, everything looks as it did last night. When I watch TV or a previously recorded show, the image looks like it is zoomed way in and the quality looks terrible. I tried watching a recorded show on another computer in the network, and it looked fine. Could the aspect ratio have changed? How could this have happened? How do I fix it? I have never seen a change when I hit F7, so I don't think that will fix the aspect ratio. Also, I am recording something now, so I don't want to disturb that, but I will if I have to. My wife will be home soon, so I hope to have it fixed before she gets here. Please help.

Must be something you've done on that machine! Have you downloaded any codec software (Kazza or other codec packs) or other software that couild effect the decoder (Windvd, Showshifter, Powerdvd?) ? All I can think of for now!

I haven't done anything on the computer since last night. The live TV is working alright now, but the recordings aren't working. I've checked shows that we have watched before and new shows and they all look the same. The picture is really zoomed in and really narrow.

Does F7 not work for you? My recording actually look better because they seem to be better aspect ratio than when looking at live tv! Although I do have borders top and bottom on the recordings!

I have never had F7 work for me. This is really weird. Why would the recordings appear to be a different aspect ratio than live TV?

Try playing one, then zip and attach your gbpvr.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

The recordings don't even look right when viewed with Windows Media Player on the computer with GBPVR, but they look fine in Windows Media Player on another computer.

Thats a sure fire sign its a caused by the default video MPEG2 decoder on your machine.

Are you sure no one has installed another app on your machine (which may have behind the scenes installed a new video decoder)?

Yeah, I was the last one to do anything on this computer last night. My wife hasn't touched it really. We haven't watched any DVDs on it or anything other than a little internet and GBPVR.
