hi,
is it possible to insert a bookmark into a recording you are watching so you can go back to the same place later?

Thanks

just want to let it be known that I would like to see this feature. The Apple iPod has this feature and it is very useful when you can't listen to entire podcasts at one time.

I have had the ocassion with gbpvr to start watching a recorded news show, for example, and then for whatever reason not be able to finish the program. So I have to pause the show and write down the time so that I can fast forward to that point when I later return to finish viewing the show. A bookmark feature would be very useful!

why don't you just enable the resume thingy in the config. That way when you come back to the show it will ask you if you want to resume from where you left off. That will do exactly what you are requesting.

That would only work once, I'm assuming that if you'd want to bookmark somewhere, it'll be for repeated use.
You might be able to do something with comskip (or the at least the file it generates), mark from the start of the recording to the bookmark point as an advert and then just skip it. A bit messy, but may work!
