Hi,

Is it still the case there's no gbpvr support for this card? I just wondered if anyone had managed to use it/found bda drivers for it?

Thanks

I havnt heard of anyone using this device. If it doesnt have BDA drivers, then it aint going to work with GB-PVR.

I have been waiting for BDA drivers for this card too - it takes up the only PCI slot in my Shuttle. I will give it another few weeks and if nothing appears then replace it with a PVR150 or PVR500 and hook it up to an external digibox for Satellite capture into GBPVR.
Given the popularity of this card in Europe I cannot understand why BDA drivers have not been released.

there is a reason for this popularity

and EXACTLY because of this popularity, I would say developers (sub probably) should give a try to making it work...

There will only be native support for the Skystar 2 if they start producing BDA drivers. I'm not interested in using their current proprietary interface.

I think they will never do it.
When asked they keep talking about some distant future, but now with DVB-S2 taking the crown, I doubt they will ever do it.

Yeah, I also think that'll be the case, so it looks like there will be no native support for SkyStar 2 then.

Its good that timh has written a plugin so users can at least get partial support, but this will not be able support the extra features like teletext, subtitles, DVB EPG, and a few other things in the next release. The plugin will be able to provide the basics (viewing tv, recording).
