I've been using GBPVR for months now, and have been on version .95.16 since it came out. Everything's been working great (and I don't know how I ever lived iwthout it - thanks Sub!) However, EPG updates have suddenly stopped working within the last week or so.

Nothing's changed on my PC. Honest.

I am in the US, and using Zap2it. I've verified that my account there is still active - I can log in via their website, and it tells me I'm good until March 17. Channel lineups etc are all fine as well.

If I try to update the EPG through Config, I get the following message:
"Your EPG source does not appear to be configured correctly. Please check the EPG source settings and try again." The settings appear to be OK.

I've tried deleting and rebuilding the capture source, but still get the same results.

The config.log file shows the following exception/stack trace:

The "Unauthorized" would seem to indicate a problem with the account credentials, but as I mentioned I can log in with them at the Zap2it website with no problems.

Any suggestions much appreciated! (My wife, having viewed my initial efforts to get a PVR up and working with much skepticism, & having finally been won over by this software & its ability to ensure she never misses another episode of Oprah or American Idol, is now starting to turn against us - pls help!)

Email your zap2it username and password to me at support@devnz.com and I'll give it a try.

Issue Resolved - Sub was good enough to verify my account settings & offer some suggestions for further investigation. Turns out nothing had changed on my GBPVR PC, but I had in fact changed a proxy setting on my gateway box which turned out to be the culprit. All working fine now. Thanks again Sub!

I'm just getting started at this with a machine I recently rebuilt. Unfortunately, it will not return the love. Sad

I have an active account with Zap2It, and have created channel line ups for Broadcast network listings and Dish Network-US. I can log onto their website just fine through a browser. I am behind a Linksys Wireless Router. Are there any ports I need to configure? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Although my login info is correct, when I try to update EPG, I am getting the infamous
You EPG source does not appear to be configured correctly. Please check the EPG Source Settings and try again.

Looks like you have a firewall getting in the way.

You were absolutely right. Big Grin

I had shut down Windows Firewall, but forgot I disabled Norton Firewall in MSCONFIG earlier today. Upon restoring it, EPG was successful.

NOW, I get the listings, but when I go to watch it live, I get teh following...

ERROR: Unspecified Error

Any suggestions?

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach your logs and I'll take a look.

Let me know if that zip works. I tried to download it back from the site, and it tells me it isn't a valid archive whether I open it directly, or download it to my machine.

The original opens just fine on my PC.

Set the logging level back to 'debug', then reproduce the error and repost the logs.
