Config won't save capture source and update epg

I get an error everytime I try to update the EPG. The configuration also won't save my capture source. When I enter all the info (the epg won't load, i get the error) and hit ok, then hit ok to restart the recording service. No capture source is saved. GBPVR says to go back into the config and add a capture source. I'm running the latest version of GB with a hauppauge 150. Thanks for the help.

I've uninstalled and then reinstalled GBPVR and still have the same problem...I need help.

It looks like something is wrong with the data access components on your machine. You could try reinstalling Microsoft MDAC.

This re-reg of MDAC worked for me as well. The MS util showed everything as ok, but the util from macropool worked perfectly and I updated correctly.

I tried the re-registering and re-installing mentioned on the macropool site and it didn't solve the problem. I still get the following in my log. (When I tried the reinstall using mdac.inf, it reported some files missing so I am concerned about that. But according to the MS site, you can't install MDAC unless you do it with the OS or SP2 installs! What?

Anyone theorize what in the world would mess with the MDAC registration? I am really bummed...

Sub's post made me wonder about the settings in the config for EPG, so I checked them. They appeared to be fine, but just for grins, I retyped the password and then the EPG updated.

Hmm... nothing had changed. I was out of town for a week and a half and came back to finding a message that the channelfactory was failing.

I don't know how the password could have become corrupted in the gbpvr settings. Very strange.

P.S.
I guess there is always the coincidence that re-entering the password didn't make a difference. Maybe it was a problem at zap2it that was fixed when I went back to try it just now?

I am also unable to update my zap2it epg after updating to 0.96.8. I tried uninstalling and doing a clean install, I tried reinstalling mdac and msxml3, none helped. Attached is my config log:
