Hi all,

After spending 1 month trying to get my ati theatre pro to work as advertised I have purchased this pinnacle card and boy oh boy am I regretting it Sad

I think it is basically a pctv 300i with a fancy name and new software, the drivers for the tuners are either not on the disk or not on my system as xp pro constantly displays an exclamation mark next to an 'unrecognised' device, which I believe is the tuner.

At the moment all im interested in is the dvb tuner but cannot get the new version of gbpvr to work with it.

Can someone tell me if im doing something wrong or is the fact that gbpvr cannot make the device work because the pinnacle drivers are not installed ?

I could do with some good news because im really fed up with tv cards Sad

I've never heard of anyone using this device with GB-PVR, but if it has BDA drivers you should be able to get it to work, but you'll need to add a new section to the BDA.ini file with the appropriate names for you device.

You'd need to sort that out first though. It definitely wont work with GB-PVR unless the drivers are installed properly.

Thanks sub,

I cannot get the device recognised and simply cannot spend any more time. Pinnacle customer support is terrible and they clearly are not interested in helping with this product.

Thanks for the reply but the card is going back tomorrow and my hunt for a decent uk digi card will continue.

Cheers

p.s. I like the new gbpvr interface and skin, top work as usual

I saw this Dazzle card at http://www.amazon.co.uk for £27 & was considering buying it for use with GB-PVR. The customer review there says the same as you - I'll think I'll stear clear ! Sad

The Hauppage Nova-T seems to be a good option for DVB-T, ~£45 from amazon, dabs etc. It's on 'supported by GB-PVR' list here http://www.gbpvr.com/ so I assume getting it working wont be too hard (note I haven't bought one yet, so can't confirm this).
