Just recently installed a second MVP. Both are running hardwired thru a switch.

When viewing liveTV there is an occasional jerkyness in the picture. Opened up taskmanager and noticed CPU usage was jumping to 45/50%. It appears that GPBVR is sending out a ping consistantly to the MVP's which is causing my CPU usage to jump - thus causing the LiveTV picture to jerk. Jerkyness also shows in TV recordings.
Is this normal for GBPVR/MVP???

Additionally one of the MVP cables is a crossover the other is not coming out of the switch.

System specs:
AMD Athlon 2000+
512kb
Radeon7000 AGP
WinXP-GBPVR 40gb drive
Recordings 80gb drive

I dont know if its the cause of your problem, but since you mentioned a "ping" it made me think of one thing. If one of your MVPs is sitting at the main menu, then it needs to send an updated screen out to the MVP each time one of the panels refreshes (va panel, next recording, clock etc), which maybe what your seeing? Some people have edited their skin to remove these panels.

Thanks sub

I powered off the MVP's and CPU usage is waaay down.
I'll just program a power key on the remotes and turn off the MVP's when not in use.

Thanks
