No Tuner available??? NEWBIE

Hi,:confused:
I'm a newbie here, just wondering on 1 thing about GB-PVR.
Everytime I goto watch Live tv or to setup a recording, GB tells me that "No tuners are available to watch the requested channel. You can choose to watch one of the currently recording programmes."
I find this very odd. I have set up everything in the config file, but everytime I go back to the "Capture Sources" tab, my settings have disapeared. I can set up my tuner card (PVR-250) and EPG, but as soon as I go back into the config file it's gone again.

Any ideas???

forgot to add that I have the tuner card working perfectly in Windows Media Center. I'd rather use GB because of the commercial skip and compression of the files.

Do this again, then zip and attach your config.exe.log and I'll take look.

Did you copy a gbpvr.mdb file from an older release on to the new v0.96.8 release? You cant do this. Database versions are not compatible between releases.

nope, although i did have a previous version installed. i uninstalled it, and installed the new version today.
wouldn't it take out all the files when doing an uninstall?

how do i fix this?

I uninstalled GB-PVR, and re-installed.

Now when i goto Live TV i get a black screen and no popup.
same thing happens when i goto tv guide and then pick something to watch... black screen...

what could be the problem?

Try uninstalling, then delete the gbpvr directory, then reinstall.

yup.... did that when i did the re-install today
still black screen when i goto play live tv. i did a record of a small 30 min show... then it seems like gb-pvr freezes... doesn't play anything... but it does play videos that i have on my hd.

any ideas?
