After installing the new version the only problem I see with the skin is the title text in upper right is too large (as referenced in original thread)

You'll need to reduce the font size for any text drawn with drawtextwithoutline. The new release does things a slightly different way.

Thanks. I modified baseskin.xml to change TextStyle "ScreenName" size from 23 to 19. Did the trick.

Yep, I've got that fixed and took advantage of the inset element... v1.30 of ContourHC is available at the wiki:

Can you have a look at the FM Radio setup..I might be one of the few users of this and with the new release, all the stations show up as red X's. Also whenever my system goes to the gbpvr screen saver, it won't come out. I switched to the default skin and it fixed both issues, so I am guessing something might be amiss. Let me know what you need from me to help solve this lil riddle.

Torque, I know I'm missing something, but what is the new "video in a window" element called. I see "inset" on the Mainmenu.XML but that's for the visualations right?

Also I the poster in details section of "My Videos" was not located well I moved it down.

Has anyone take a stab at skinning x-record yet?

It is the same inset element that is used for visualizations. I added the element to most of the plugin skins but it doesn't work with any of them. Must be something the plugin developers will need to add to enable it.

I don't think anyone is skinning X-record currently.

I'll take a look at the FM radio skin tonite. Sounds like something changed with that plugin that the skin doesn't support.

I noticed you're using girder with the MCE remote also. I know Sub fixed a bunch of things with the MCE remote. I previously had to use girder to map live tv, menu/more info, and the colored buttons to perform their intended function. With the new version I had to disable all those mappings in girder because I had some crazy crap going on. That might be the cause of your screen saver not shutting off... what buttons on the remote have you tried to shut the screen saver off? The screen saver seems to work fine (actually better now) with the new version. But I'll look tonite and see if I see anything that might cause problems.

I've been skinning xrecord "very slowly" I don't have much done yet, so if anyone plans on doing this don't let me stop you.

I've also modified the xguide skin abit, it looks a lot more like the regular TV guide now. My favorite part on Contour is the look of the guide. I just cannot figure out how to move the recording status bar located under the grid times.

Actually I have the 2k5 remote so I don't have the colored buttons, I only use girder to map the * button to the F7 key so I can change aspect ratios. I love how he fixed the rest of the mappings, works out slick now. If I used the Blue skin the screen saver issue isn't there..but I am still testing as I am not real sure the skin would have anything to do with that. Thanks for looking into this Big Grin
