Hello,

I've just discovered GBPVR (great program), I am using a ".exe" program to change channels. The trouble is I think the channel commands are being sent too quickly, I have introduced a delay using the parameters for the ".exe" program but I can't put a delay in between channel digits. Is there any way to do this?

Thanks,
Martin.

I dont think there is anything I can do about this. Its really a problem with the .exe your using to change channels. For example, if you've configured it to use mychannelchanger.exe and try to change to channel 27, I pass 27 to mychannelchanger.exe and it responsible for change the channel. I assume when this exe finishes, they new channel has been set.

What you really need is for mychannelchanger.exe to allow you options to configure a delay between whatever it does with each digit.

I hope I havn't misinterpreted your question.

Thanks for the reply, I think you have interpreted my question correctly. I live in England, there is an annoying red dot that appears on digital TV to signify interactive content - I have configured the ".exe" program to send the channel and then a couple of other keypresses to remove the red dot. I put delays after the channel information and after the first additional keypress and these work fine but the channel information itself is being transmitted too quickly for the receiver to pick up. Here is the command I used in your configuratiion program - "-port=COM2 "!(channel)!!!!R!!!K"" where the exclamation marks are delays and R & K are the commands to remove the red dot. I was hoping that there was some way of inserting a delay between the digits of the channel number from within your program. I will contact the author of the ".exe" to see if it can be done.

Cheers,
Martin.

Yes, obviously nothing can be done at my end as this is entirely under the control of the external program. I hope the author of your .exe comes through for you.

After a bit more investigation it seems that the .exe program is reading (channel) as (channel) rather than 123, am I using the correct syntax in your configurration utility? I assumed that your program subtitues (channel) with the channel number.

Thanks,
Martin.
