Dwindling Zap2it listings

Hello,

For the past 5 days, I have not received new listing data and my available listings are now down to 3 days (was 8). I re-enabled the "Complete EPG Reload" option a couple days ago but to no avail.

I saw one other person who is having similar symptoms with GB-PVR on the Zap2it board in the past few days but I could not find any threads discussing whether or not this is being actively worked or whether this is a GB-PVR-specific problem. I do know that Zap2it is having intermittent problems... shall I just chill for a bit? : )

The IP connectivity to my machine is fine, and the gbpvr.exe log doesn't show anything erroring out... it can se it re-detects the already-scheduled programs, etc. It just seems like no new data is coming in.

I just tried an update now and got data. I had my update time for 6:00 AM Eastern, but I'll adjust it to now-ish (3 PM Eastern) and see if things don't stay friendly. I know the poor (but nice!) folks at Zap2it want us to spread the load.

There is some combinations of events that can lead to a gap appearing in the EPG listsing with zap2it, but I'm not sure exactly what they are yet. If you find you're getting this, you may need to temporarily reenable the 'complete EPG reload' option, then do a manual 'update epg', then disable the 'complete EPG reload' setting again. It should be right from then on.

I'm not sure if this is your problem or not.

I intend to look at it for v0.97.

Actually sub I was experiencing that next day gap, too, and fixed it by enabling the complete reload. I didn't realize that once I had done a manual reload I could disable the complete reload again. I'll do this now as I know it's easier on the peeps at zap2it.
