Hello

In a fit of upgrade fever, I upgraded to the latest version of GBPVR.

Now, when I click on Recordings, I get the message:

Error: Specified Cast is not valid

The microsoft mce remote then stops working. I am running revens current XMLTV program and this error shows up whether I am running Contour or the standard skin. The TVGUIDE works ok

Cheers

helboy

Any thoughts?

Can you try running the attached utility and tell me what it says?

You need to save it in the c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr directory first.

A lot of people are having problems downloading zip files if they use internet explorer. Try using opera or mozilla/firefox instead. That works better.

Hi sub,

I had this problem again, and run the attached utility. It identified a manual recording as being the culprit, so I moved the recording before restarting gbpvr and was able to use the Recordings plugin again.

What I think happened is that the recording was scheduled (either manually or by the recurring recordings setting), and then at some later stage either my epg download didn't work or was incomplete, and the show-name recording became a manual one, which possibly resulted in it becoming unlinked in the database. (I'm not sure when the error started, but it was definitely before the show was recorded, and in fact although the show was listed in the VAPanel, it wasn't highlighted in the TVGuide, so I ended up quick-recording it as well, resulting in simultaneously recording it with two tuners).

I have changed my gb-pvr settings to no longer do an epg purge, so that should fix it.

Hope this helps.

cheers,

tieke
