Do not order from Buy.com I have been going thru hell with that company. I ordered six Axis 207 network cameras ($250/ea) from them and recieved them fairly quickly. But one of them was DOA. So I called them up and they emailed me a UPS return airbill to send it back. I was thinking sweet.... well, that was a month ago. Still haven't recieved a replacement back. But thinking their RMA dept was just really slow, i placed an order for another 9 cameras last week. Two days later receive an email stating their was a problem with my order.
Quote:We are writing to let you know that we are experiencing a delay in being able to fulfill one or more items on your order #nnnnnnnn. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause you.

Your order status can change quickly as we do our best to fulfill your order, and it's possible that by the time you read this email the delay affecting your order might have been fixed. It's also possible that the items you ordered could still be unavailable. To check your current order status, please visit https://secure.buy.com/corp/support/login.asp. From there you can determine if you would like to wait for your items to ship or if you would like to cancel all or part of your order.

So I call them, they don't know what the hold up is. I tell them I paid for next day delivery and if they can't send the order, to cancel it. They said I'd recieve an email stating what the status is later that day. Nothing recieved so I call them the next day and ask for the status. They still don't know so I said I wanted to cancel it. Barely english speaking person says
"Okay we've cancelled it, your CC was not charged" So then I order 9 cameras from CDW. Check the status on that buy.com order and it said "9 requested cancellations".

What do i see today in my email, that one of the 9 cameras has shipped! I called them furious and told them that order should have been cancelled and was told that they could only try to cancel it since it was at the warehouse... WTF? that was a few days ago... evidently their RMA dept is also the one filling orders, oh and the RMA still hasn't been processed according to them. They can charge my CC again and ship a camera out, but they'll take their sweet ass time replacing a product that is defective. Uggg.

I check resellerratings before using any mailorder place. Buy.com has stunk for a long time.
Bhphotovideo is great for camera stuff.

That really sucks. Buy.com used to be a good online retialer. To bad they have gone downhill.

Wanted to update ya'll on my dealings with Buy.com. A great member of this forum had the Buy.com's director of customer service contact me by phone to get this straightened out. I'd probably order from them again if I didn't need something in a rush.

We have an outstanding community here that enables that kind of results. I had no problems with my two previous purchases from them so I was waiting to see what your outcome was. Glad to see things resolved.
