Just like the topic says.. net radio, windows plays very strong and loud.. but the volume coming from watching TV is much softer.

I am using a PVR500 on a Via Epia SP13000, using onboard audio.

They both use the "wave" mixer so I cant even them out.. i would rather be able to boost the TV volume because i have to turn it up alot higher right now than I would like to (read: hiiiiiiisssssssssssssssss).

Thanks

i have found this as well. watching tv at a reasonable level then a system sound comes up and blam, there are two fred flintstone style silhouette holes through the wall into the next room.

i have been meaning to look into this but haven't gotten around to it. anyone else been down this road?

I think ffdshow allows you to equalize the audio, which should help.

All I can suggest is fiddling with the ffdshow settings and hope you find a combination that works well, otherwise you'll have to get used to different audio levels.

Fixed it....

In chasing for an answer to how to change volume in the music plugins I found out that you can remove the volume directives from the irremote.ini. This fixed the problem. Now my TV can go as loud as the rest of my players and I can control the music plug in volumes...(I made sure before making the switch that the volume on TV was 100%, then did the switch...not sure if that makes any diff or not...)

That one setting fixed like 3 problems for me... Wink Begs to question: why does GB have an internal volume if its only use in the one player?
