Installation Errors - Help!

I am using WIndows XP SP2.

When I try to intall GBPVR I get "Internal Error 2908" click ok then get "Error 1935."

I looked in my add/remove programs and I have neither Microsoft .net 1.1 or 2.0 listed.

I tried to install Microsoft .net 1.1 but I get the error: "Extracting file failed. It is most likely caused by low memory (low diskspace for swapping file) or corrupted Cabinet file." I've downloaded this file about 5 times and tried so its not corrupted.

Tried to install Microsoft .net 1.1 SDK and nothing better happened.

Installed Microsoft .net 2.0 and got through the install but was unable to open the GBPVR config. It just had an error opening and would not work.

It's funny but I was able to get GBPVR to work in about 5 minutes the first time I used it in Windows 2000. Installed the recommended files and it was all good. Now... Windows XP SP2 and I'm just at a loss.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Just a little more...

I've read the previous posts and I know the general answer around here is, "Have you installed Microsoft .NET 1.1?" But the thing is I can't install it. It just won't work. Anyone know what's going on and how I can get around it?

You could try installing it via Windows Update - see if that works ?

Thanks Cyb but I tried that too. It's a clean install of XP (Professional, btw) and all I've put on there are your basic drivers and latest Windows updates. I have other computers running the same version of XP Pro with .net 1.1 just fine.

I really don't want to go through reinstalling Windows...

Turns out I had missed Microsoft .NET 1.1 in the custom windows updates and this time installation worked. Yay
