- Added some logic to give recordings a second chance. 30 seconds after the recording was started, the file size is checked. If it is not growing normally, then the recording is stopped and restarted.

How can i stop this service?

Best regards

Why do you want that? Is it causing any problems? (can you tell I don't know how to stop it? Big Grin )
I'm not always right

Thank you for reply Stefan?

The answer is a long story. And my english is a little bit poor.
I heard in the skandinavien country`s like sweden, everyone is watching the cinema movies in their original language with swedien subtitles. Is this right?
Sometimes i wish this for Germany too, because everyone would learn much earlier and quickliyer English.
Here in germany ervery movie is goint to translated in german.

ok back to the problem.

I´m using ProgDVB with the external recorder plugin.I made two directory`s of progdvb for two dvbs card`s (Twinhan & Skystar 2).
Everything works fine.I`m able two watch what I´m recording during recording, the only problem is that i can not watch tv during recording.
If i want to watch tv during one card is recording, another progdvb instant reports a problem.

I changed to another DVB program "mytheatre",this program starts watching tv while recording but I`m not able to make an file event. So GBPVR can`t find a file, reports a missing file and restarts recording.I got always two files of every recording instance.

regard`s

Yes. Only children's movies are dubbed into Swedish.

As a side note, those of us in the UK get little programming other than that in English which makes it harder to learn a foreign language.

Amusing side story is that I was once is the cinema in Switzerland and they had about three sets of subtitles for different languages. I couldn't find English unfortunately and it was a couple of minutes before I realised that the dialog was English already. Big Grin

lol.

in switzerland cinemas show both: dubbed version (german, french, italian... according in which part of switzerland you are) and original version with subtitles (which i prefer).

i never saw more than two sets (german and french) here ((swiss-)german speaking part of ch)

swiss tv sometimes broadcasts movies with the left audio channel with the dubbed german sound track and the right channel with the original sound track. of course its just 'mono', but you can at least 'select' the language.

I dont really understand you reason for want it disabled, but you cant disable this logic using <SecondChanceRecording>false</SecondChanceRecording> in config.xml

if any recording programm is not able to write the required event-filename, which gbpvr is looking for, gbpvr restarts recording.
The problem is that mine recording program "mytheatre" is writing an
event-filename, but not the same filename which gbpvr is looking for.

i hope this is better understandable

best regards and thank you for your tip
