Hello, @ll !
I found GB-PVR last weekend, after trying some of the other frontdends and I must say, that for me as newbie at these things it is really PERFECT !
So first of all: Thanks for the good work.
But as always with newbies there are still some questions left.
Some of my questions where answered by the forum and some things I found at Google, but now it's your turn.
I use GB-PVR on a DELL Dimension 8300 with a Hauppauge PVR 350, a NVIDIA 5200 FX Graphic-Card and a SB Audigy 2 Sound-Card.
The TV is plugged into the NVidia and the line out of the PVR is plugged into line-in of the Audigy.
So far anything works fine ... but now the questions.
1. I could not get the fm-radio to find any stations.
The GB-PVR starts a search but NO station is found.
Are there any settings to do for the fm-radio ?
2. The cd-player-plugin starts its work, finds the
tracks on the cd ... finds the cddb data, starts
playing (I see title and the time of the track is
running), but i hear nothing !
Trying the same under Winamp (without GB-PVR running)
anything is OK and I hear the sound from the CD.
What to do with this problem ?
3. I read that it would be useful to use a second
TV-Card for the EPG.
I have a Studio TV Terminator 7131 here that I could
use for that but it is not supported by GB-PVR.
Is it possible to use this card for EPG without
implementing it in GB-PVR (standalone) ??
4. When using FF (fast-forward) in time-shift-mode
I loose the sound of the TV and it won't come back.
Is that a known problem or can I solve it ?
I think this is all (it's enough, isn't it ?)
If you can help please don't hesitate to write down all you know about these things, because I'm really a FAN of GB-PVR and I want to use it !!!
Thanks in advance
Knut
