As many UK users are probably aware, the normally excellent bleb.org has been down for several days now - meaning no EPG. Sad

Here's how I got my listings up and running again:

Download and install XMLTV GUI Grabber:
http://www.birtles.org.uk/xmltv/

Run the app and go to Tools > Settings

Open the Grabbers tab and tick UK_RT

Highlight UK_RT and push 'Channels'

Use the button marked >> to build your desired channel list in the right hand pane

Push OK

Hit the Grab Listings button (this is just a first run - you can automate this later if you like)

By default the XML data will be downloaded to C:\Program Files\XMLTV GUI\data.xml (you can choose another location in the settings if you like)

Now open the GBPVR config app and edit your capture source.

Change the EPG Source drop down to XMLTV Plugin and hit Settings.

Browse to the location of data.xml (as above) and hit OK.

Now push 'Update EPG' and your guide will once more fill up with programmes! Smile

To automate the update simply set up a scheduled task to run the XmltvGUI.exe app once a day. Once you have set up the scheduled task using the Windows wizard go to the advanced settings for the task and add the switch \Grab to the end of the call in the Run: field so that the full path appears like: "C:\Program Files\XMLTV GUI\XmltvGUI.exe \Grab"

Hope this helps. Smile

You could even put that in the UpdateEPG.bat file in program files\devnz\gbpvr (if the file doesn't exist, create it). That way it'll grab the listings before the EPG update.

I use the console version to get my downloads, but can't remember why I chose to do that. What's the advantage of the console version over the GUI version?
