Hauppauge remote not starting service

I have a WinTV PVR 150 with a Hauppauge 45 button remote. I've clicked the "Fix Hauppauge Remote Settings" and restarted the IR Service. I've done this several times now, I've even rebooted the computer several times. Still the remote does not work to start GBPVR. The remote works fine once I'm using GBPVR but I always have to start GBPVR manually from the computer.

I have the most up to date version of GBPVR and I updated all of the WinTV Software before I installed GBPVR, I can't get anymore up to date. I've covered everything I can think of here, but still I can't get GBPVR to start, while using the remote. Any suggestions?

Thats correct. If you want to be able to start GBPVR with the power button on the remote you have to manually edit the Irremote.ini file in the windows directory.

The following will teach the remote to open GBPVR

[Default]
GRNPOWER={run(i:\gbpvr\gbpvr.exe)}

put this at the start of the default section.

location of my gbpvr.exe is:
C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\gbpvr.exe

I just copied the command. You obviously have to set your own part correctly.

C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\gbpvr.exe didn't work for me. I used the following:

GRNPOWER={run(C:\Progra~1\devnz\gbpvr\gbpvr.exe)}

Place that in the [Default] section and you should be up and running.
