I have a Hauppauge PVR 150 with remote. Installed drivers and gbpvr. GBPVR config went fine and zap2it listing work. Everytime I try to watch Live TV or view a recorded show I get a Microsoft Vlisual C++ Debug Library error.

It is Debug Assertion Failed!
Program: C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr.exe
File: c:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003\Vc7\atlmfc\include\aticomcli.h
Line:148
Expression: p!=0

I have XP Pro SP2 i have updated all of the .NET to 2.0

I have seen people be askedto upload log files. I don't know where they are or how to generate them.

Any thoughts? I really want to to work.

Do you still have .net 1.1 installed? GB-PVR requires 1.1.

Please reproduce the problem, then attach c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\gbpvr.exe-native.log

I must admit, I'm not really sure. Can you also attach gbpvr.exe.log?

Are you able to play pre-existing MPEG-2 files?

Making progress. I started every service that had .net in ist name. Now I don't crash when I clikc on Watche live TV but gbpvr says "Error: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refuesed it."

Trying to play a recorded show still give say error for microsoft visual as posted before.

Considering it cant play MPEG2 files, it definitely sounds like something screwy going on with the directshow decoders installed on your machine, but I'm not sure what exactly. You'll probably find you have the same problem trying to play an MPEG2 file in Windows Media Player.

I dont know why your machine is using the "Color space converter" directshow filter.

Quote:12:05:19.468 VERBOSE Graph contains the following filters:
12:05:19.468 VERBOSE - Default DirectSound Device
12:05:19.468 VERBOSE - Video Renderer
12:05:19.468 VERBOSE - Color Space Converter
12:05:19.484 VERBOSE - InterVideo NonCSS Audio Decoder for Hauppauge
12:05:19.484 VERBOSE - InterVideo NonCSS Video Decoder for Hauppauge
12:05:19.484 VERBOSE - MPEG-2 Demultiplexer
12:05:19.484 VERBOSE - D:\TV_SHOWS\MASH\MASH_20060416_00000030.mpg

Does it help if you set your video renderer to Overlay instead of VRM?

Yes changing it helped both livetv and playing recorded. I have not had any errors so far.

Is there anything I should change or just leave it?

Thanks for your help!

You'll either need to leave it on Overlay, or fix the decoder problem that is causing the issue. Sorry, I cant you any more detail than that. Its something specific to the combination of stuff installed on your machine.
