When I goto live TV in Timeshift mode it allways starts in a paused state. To get it to play I have to press "pause" then "play" on the remote.

Sometimes Live TV does not start at all. After the message about starting in time shift mode, please wait, I then get a blank screen and GBPRV no longer responds at all.

Does anyone else have this problem.

Log file is attached.

Thanks for any help,
Bruce.

I see you're using the "InterVideo NonCSS Video Decoder for Hauppauge" video decoder. Are you able to try it with another video decoder?

If its not the video decoder, I'm guessing its something to do with the AC3Filter used on your machine.

OK, I'll try some other decoders and let you know what I find.

I've tried various MPEG decoders with varied success. MainConcept MPEG video decoder worked well but locked up once while trying to start LiveTV.

I've settled on the CyberLink Video/SP Decoder for now. It works well with the only problem being that occassionally when starting LiveTV on a digital channel the video is scrambled. Stopping and reselecting the channel solves this.

Is there a recommended MPEG decoder to use, even if it needs to be purchased, or does it vary from setup to setup?

I wouldnt really want to give a recommendation in case it doesnt work well for you. Most people have no problems with any video decoder, but the occasional person gets problems like this. It might be to do with versions of the decoders, or somehow related to the video card drivers (which are connected to by the decoders).

I usually use either the "InterVideo NonCSS Video Decoder for Hauppauge" decoder that was causing you problems, or the Cyberlink one. Both work well for me.
