Play games?

Just wondered if anyone here plays games on their PC?

I cant get enough of Battlefield 2 (its like playing with your toy soldiers again : ), also Counter strike source from Valve is a current fav too.

I used to play them but must be getting old (OK I am old) as I only play them when bored, but BF2 was exciting for a month or two for me.

hmmm.. the last _new_ game i played was quake 4 (and before that doom 3).

atm i play all the old games again... found an 8(?) year old savegame of diablo ii (never finished it back then...).
and i still like all the old graphic adventures even though meanwhile i do know all the puzzles

The only new game I play is Pirates! And that is maybe once a month or when I have time.

Whcih is rare.
I keep thinking one day i'll have more time to enjoy my games.
I still like to play diablo 2 & Hero's of Might & magic 4. I bought the last one for $7.

I also have Balder's gate but I fear that.
Last time I played it I lost a a whole weekend.

I did recently pick up and play Warhammer 40K Dawn of War. I was really big into the tabletop game (Geek alert). The PC version is a RTS game.

COD2 (still on it after several months)

Far CRy (been playing since July 04) - early days yet

GTR (with mobo wheel) for periodic blasts of speed - best racing sim I have played.

F.E.A.R - awsome!

BF2 is my game of choice, nothing beats being able to choose whether you feel like being a sniper and skulking around, or just grabbing a tank and charging in all guns blazing - I've given up now since the latest round of patches seem to have caused me problems and this time i cant be bothered to mess about all over again - we seem to be unpaid beta testers?!?

Currently trying to debate which is best assuming i stump up for a decent LCD tv:
1. roll gaming PC (opteron 146 o/c 2.7ghz, 6800GT) into GBPVR box and use MVP for playback?
2. Buy an Xbox 360 and have done with it?

tough call... i have a suspicion PC games are on their way out (plus i dont have the budget to upgrade my pc in another year or so!)

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

Played on my Media Center on CRT while my wife's is watching movies on the same PC with GB-PVR on the TV.

It's really a hot game! The graphic is a dream, you can really sink into this... *dream*

Used Hardware:
ASUS A8N-VM CSM
AMD Athlon 64 3.500+ (GB-PVR uses ~50% CPU Power...O.O)
2 GB RAM
500 GB RAID 0
OnBoard 6150 & GeForce 7600 GT (OnBoard is connected to TV; 7600 to the CRT)

Enough Power to do both things same time.
