I get the following error when I hit stop while watching any live tv channel.

Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object

I have attached the log. This only happens while watching live tv. It does not happen if I enter live tv, then hit pause( then after it says Entering timeshift mode) it comes back to the screen(and if I want to actually pause it I have to hit pause again.) and then if I hit stop then, it works fine.

So it seems like it has something to do with livetv and not being in timeshift mode then hitting stop. I would actually prefer to always be in timeshift mode but I don't know how to do that either.. Anyone have any suggestions?

This is a bug in the MyPictures plugin. Disable it or uninstall it.

thanks for the quick response. It even happens if the pluggin is disabled. I have been getting this even before any pluggin was installed. I ahve tried changing the decoder to the latest "InterVideo NonCSS Video Decoder for Hauppauge" and it still happens. It seems like it will go away if when I enter livetv in timeshift mode, but can't seem to figure that out. Is there a way to do that? If so that would be ideal because then I wouldn't have to hit pause then wait for the screen to come back and then hit pause again. Any suggestions?

Disabling a plug-in does not remove it. Try renaming the mypictures dll to mypictures.dll.old and restarting GBPVR. I suspect this problem will go away.

It is the cause of the problem. Delete the MyPictures.dll from the plugins directory and the problem will go away.

The logs show that it is some other error now. "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" is pretty generic.

I'm not sure what is causing this one. What extactly did you do at the time you got this error? Is this also occuring when you exit live tv? If so, what key did you press to stop live tv?

The same as before. It happens when I hit stop while watching any live tv channel(or get to the channel throught the guide). It only happens if I jsut hit stop on my mce remote or even if I hit ctrl-S on the keyboard. If I hit pause first and then wait for the "Entering Timeshift mode..." message to disapear, then hit stop it works fine. Not sure if this helps, I have 2 haupauge pvr 150 cards using the "InterVideo NonCSS Video Decoder for Hauppauge" decoder. Attached is the gbpvr.exe.native.log. Not sure what the diff is inbetween the logs but here it is if it helps. Any ideas??

If you press the escape key to stop live tv, does it do the same thing?
