Hi,

I have noticed some flicker when I change the channel
in live tv mode.
Could the driver of my PVR150 be the reason?
Iam using the newest one (2.0.43.24108).

Does none have an idea??
It's only for 2-3 seconds after changing the channel.

Hi,

it's my htpc (EPIA SP8000) most of the time i will use it as recorder,
but some times i intend to use it also as "tv-receiver".
What'sthe difference between "live tv" and "live preview"? Smile

What do you mean by flicker? Your computer is on the *very* low end. If you mean that the recording is "studdering" while the OSD is showing, that is normal for a computer with your specs (and mine, for that matter).
I'm not always right

That flicker (picture disturbances) are also when i change the channel
by remote controll an no osd is displayed.
The recordings are ok, because when gbpvr records i normaly do not
watch live tv (live preview) at the same time.

There are 2 modes you can use to watch live TV on the PC, timeshifted or Live preview. There is a checkbox in the config app I belive near where you choose which decoders you use. From what I understand Live preview gets the video feed directly from the capture card, therefore channel surfing is muth faster. In timeshift mode, the video is written to the harddisk, and that file is played beack. Much slower to change channels this way since a new file is created everytime you change channels.

Do you mean that after a channel change, the picture comes on, turns black then the tv comes back and eveything is normal? All through this is fine?

I've had this happen a couple of times when I've screwed around with codecs and decoders. I remember it distinctly happeneing once when I was fooling around ffdshow. Each time it was solved by rebooting the machine. This happened in preview mode, I don't really know about timeshift mode. I would think that you've rebooted a couple of times since?

You're PC is way under the minimum recommended CPU spec, so I'd say there is a good chance it is related to this.

First of all thanks for your replies! :-)

That "flicker" is no big thing, but i believe that this was
not happening in past when i have used an older version
of the pvr driver.

Iam using the live preview mode and except this smal thing
gbpvr works fine! :-)

I have tested a lot mediacenter software, but gbpvr is the best for me.
It seems to have the lowest hardware requirements.
So i can only say: Thanks sub!!
