I have installed the latest dvrs and still have the long-standing problem where a machine reboot causes a loss of audio in both my 150's. The only fix I know of is to simply change channels when on live tv and the sound comes back. (A bit more fiddly now I have two cards). It is as if something is not being initialised and gets fixed with the tv channel change.

Does anyone else see this? Does anyone know of a fix, even if it is something that gets run at each re-boot? This is getting more pressing as I am getting asked to install GBPVR for friends!

TIA.

What if you restart gbpvr-recordingservice directly after reboot?

Thanks for suggestion, Htv. Good thought but it doesn't do the trick. But I like the idea of re-running "something" after the reboot has finished.

Just an idea, do you use timeshiftmode or livepreview-if-possible in config, in combination with return-from-timeshiftmode-on-channelchange?

Lindsay, you are not alone. I'm still having this problem as well. I though it had gone away on it own but I did a weekly reboot and it's still here. I have two 150's and I'm not running the latest drivers, so It's not a driver specific issue.

I do run a networked client occasionaly. I think it might have something to do with it.

It's really frustrating, isn't it? I installed a 150 for a friend/client and his does it too.

Does anyone know what a change channel does as this is what gets the sound back? If we knew what that did, we might get some way to understanding the cause or, at least, create a workaround that could be made to run automatically. I tried running regmon to see whether it migth have something to do with the registry. On the ch change, GBPVR.exe read the last channel reg data. I've tried lots of things to try to trigger the sound back but only the ch change works.

If anyone has suggestions to try I have the time to test them.

I don't have the 150, but i do have 250's and have no problems with them.

One thing i have done is to use the Hauppauge TweakTool to get both 250's exactly the same.

Might be worth a try.

Regards.
