For some reason my reoccuring scheduler is not working. when i try to set up a reoccuring recording, it does not indicate that the show is going to record in the tv guide. it also does not show up in the pending recordings. the weird thing is that if i just schedule a show to record once, then it seems to work fine. I use Zap2it as my EPG source. the reoccuring shows that i'm trying to record are Lost, 24, Extreme Home Makeover, and Gilmore Girls. I do not use any plugins or Comskip. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

When you say reoccuring recording, was this a 'season recording' from the tv guide, or a reoccuring manual recording from the Recordings screen ("Manual Rec" button)?

it's the "season recording." but it is acting really weird. i set it up to record American Chopper, a show i haven't recorded before and it set up fine. however, if i go back to try and set up "season recording" on shows that i had previously set up, it doesn't seem like it is working.

When did you delete the previous season recording for this show?

Did you delete just the 'reoccurring' entry (which would have also deleted the pending ones), or did you explicitly delete the pending recordings and the reoccurring one?

If the latter, I think I know what is happening. There is some logic to ensure that if you cancel an individual pending recording that is part of a season recording, that specific show wont be rescheduled at the next EPG update.

ok, i'm going to try to be as detailed as possible and i will go back to the beginning. this morning i had something scheduled to record from 6 AM til 9 AM. however, when i woke up, the recording had failed. now, i figured that this was due to the fact that my EPG updates at 7AM and it conflicted with the recording causing it to fail. when i started to look around at my recordings, i noticed that only one of my reocurring "record season" recording was listed as pending. i had not deleted any pending recordings. so i went to check the tv guide and sure enough all of my reocurring recordings were not colored red as they usually are. so then i went to check my recordings, but they were all still listed as reocurring. so i figured that i would delete the reocurring recordings and try to set them up again. but when i try this the same thing keeps happening, they show up in the reocurring recordings list, but not the pending and the time slots are not colored red on the tv guide. but here's the really weird thing. when i go to set up these shows to just record once, it works fine. and i also set up a new show "american choppers," one that i've never recorded as a "season" and it set up just fine. i am very puzzled.

Sorry, I dont know. Brain not working yet (6:40AM here).

I suspect its related to what I mentioned above. If you schedule one off recordings for the next few days, I'm sure it'll right itself when any new episodes get added to the EPG.
