After recording a program gb-pvr 96.12. If I try to view the program thru Windows Media Player or try to play the file thru gb-pvr or Media MVP, all I get is a black screen.

I have enclosed the gbpvr.exe.native.

OS Windows XP

Capture Card WinTvPVR-500MCE

Thanks,

Since you have the problem playing the file through the MVP or WMP, it sounds like a recording problem. Can you post a complete set of logs?

There is nothing going wrong in the logs, so I'm guessing maybe you're using the wrong input?

What input are you trying to use? tuner/svideo/composite?

Do you see the signal you're expecting if you start the Hauppauge WinTV app and view the composite source? I suspect if its just recording black, then its recording an input with no signal on it.

I suspect you're trying to record on input that has no video signal.

Its probably work installing the (free) Hauppauge WinTV2000 software and checking that you can see video on the composite input.

I should of mentioned this earlier but I tried a trial version of Beyond TV version 4 and I could record with that software, but I wasn't impressed with that program.

Individually try each of the Composite1/Composite2/Composite3.

There has been no issues with this report, so I can only assume its some setting related thing like this.
