Happauge PVR500MCE teletext & FM radio?

Hi, Could someone pls advise how 2 get FM radio and Tv teletext feature to work with GB-PVR pls? thx you.

What exactly have you tried, and what happened?

For FM radio:
By clicking the FM radio button within GBPVR, then SCAN for radio stations - but I get no radio station (even with the FM antenna plug into the PVR500) detected? This feature works with beyondtv.

For TV Teletext:
Have tried clicking the option of "Enable Teletext" within GBPVR Config/Misc section. Hence going to GBPVR Live TV, I cannot see where the option for teletext viewing is and also no teletext.

Any ideas pls?

Try manually adding the station if you know the frequency. The scan feature doesnt work with some models of tuner.

On a PVR500, you also need to make sure you've got the capture source set to the correct type. Only one of the two PVR500 tuners will support FM radio, so only one should be set to 'PVR500 with FM'. It seems to vary as to whether this is tuner #1 or #2, so you may need to try both combinations.

Press the red button (Ctrl-R) to bring up teletext.

Hi, thx you for your reply. I managed to get both features to work. It seem my FM radio on PVR500 does not allow auto scan, so I manually input the freq in and it work. As for teletext, it works with CTRL-R - but the teletext is not perfect, I mean on some pages it doesn't show the text properly (this is the same aerial I used with my previous tv card Leadtek PVR2000 and the text feature is smooth).

Do you know what button do I need to hit for Live TV with text feature (ie, page 888) pls? thx you.

Its not that simple unfortunately. You need to enable SRT subtitle capture and display in the config app, then set the correct page numbers for each channel in the capture source channel list. Some countries use different page numbers for each channel, and GB-PVR has no way to auto detect this, so you need to tell it.

Hi, thx again for your guides. Everythings are fully worked so far, my last Q - with PVR500 board there are 2 RCA Composite & S-Video connector and the same connectors on the mini-addon board that pluged internally onto the PVR500. I was wondering is it possible to capture video (AV) footage to the PVR500 and vice versa? If so, how would it be done pls? thx you very much.
