USBUIRT Transmission channel send speed

I am having a problem with the USBUIRT I have setup to change channels on my set top box. It seems that the #2 wants to repeat itself, so when I change to channel 22 it sends 222 to the set top box. Or when I change to 132 it sends 1322, changing the channel to 322 on the set top box. The weird thing is that if I load GBPVR, then go to live TV the speed at which the USBUIRT flashes to change the channel has a longer delay than if I change the channel once Live TV is showing.

For example, I start Live TV and it changes to channel 132. The USBUIRT flashes three times with a noticible pause in between. The set top box changes to 132 as expected. I change to channel 22 by pressing 22 on the remote, the flashes from the USBUIRT have very little if any delay, and the channel changes to 222.

So now the million dollar question... is there a setting in GBPVR for the delay between transmission of each channel sent from the USBUIRT?

You can edit the USB-UIRT to change the following:

InterCodeDelay 200
RepeatCount 4

These are the default values. Tweak to suit your needs.

Thanks for the reply. One more quick question. Does the USBUIRT file get loaded when I start the GBPVR UI or do I need to restart the service to test changes?

You'll need to restart to pickup changes.

Seems like the delay is not being respected when you change channels. To test this I did the following. Set InterCodeDelay to a ridiculously large number 5000 (5 secs). Start GBPVR, select Live TV, there is definitely a 5 second delay between sending channels. Now change channels by entering #'s on the remote (ie. 155) and there is little or no delay in sending. This is the same whether I use the remote or keyboard and the same if I select from the the guide. The delay only seems to apply when you go to live TV. Can you confirm this?

What version of GB-PVR are you using? I think releases prior to v0.97 may have had a bug that would cause this, but the current version will definitely honour the delay.

Good news... Upgraded and things worked perfectly. No issues....

Bad news... The upgrade did not fix the issue above... What Next?

I checked this just, and it worked fine for me. I suspect you've entered it in the wrong format.

This is the file I used, so you have something to compare to. This gives me a visible five seconds between digits.

I just checked the format of my file. The only difference in my file was that I had InterCodeDelay on the line after RepeatCount, instead of before. I changed that and I still have the same issue. It works when switching into Live TV, but doesn't respect the delay when changing channels...
