Using 96.12

When I set a recording for Kim Possible the other night (not for me!) the recording played back really slowly - such that the theme song sounded like it was being performed in a bad drag show.

Does anyone know what could cause this - hasnt occurred with any other recordings? I initilly though it may have been my EPG download starting - but it ran about 25 mins after the show had started recording.

I use a Winfast PVR2000 and generally have no issues. The video was also slowed down. I tried another recording last night and it was fine.

The file also played back at the slow speed within WMP and BSplayer.

As it's only happened once I'm not too concerned - but want to know what causes it so I can avoid getting slow copies of anything I want to archive.

Thanks
stefan

Screwed up timeline in the recording? (though I have no idea why you would have that...) Do you still have the file? You could try repairing the timeline with PVAstrumento and see if that does it.

Thanks, I deleted the file as I dont care about it too much.

If I get the same problem with anothe file I actually want to keep, then I'll use your suggestion.
Thanks for your help.

Note that I don't know whether that was indeed your problem. But I thought you could have used PVAstrumento to diagnose the problem (and perhaps solve it) Hope you don't experience it again, though.
