I have a MediaMVP and a Leadtek 2000XP Deluxe Tuner Card.

Should the PVR work for me via MediaMVP? If not for life TV, for playback of captured MPEG's?

Thanks!

I have the same setup, and would like to know the answer as well.

No. For now only hardware-encoding MPEG2 capture cards are supported - sorry.

Good spotting SHS. I didn't read very closely.

Yes, GB-PVR will work without a capture card. Obviously you wont be able to schedule recording or watch live tv.

Do you have a link to documentation for getting GBPVR working with the MediaMVP?

Also, when I install GBPVR I end up with no 'GB-PVR Recording Service' service - is this normal if I don't have a PVR250/350 etc installed at the time of install?

You can end up with no GB-PVR Recording Service if you installed the Microsoft .net v1.1 runtime after you GB-PVR. If this is the case, uninstall and reinstall GB-PVR.

I have a work in progress doc for the mediamvp with gb-pvr, just haven't put the finishing touches yet. I expect to sent it to sub in a couple of days. But for now if you search the getting started forum, you will find pretty much everything you needed to get mediamvp working with gb-pvr.
