Hi,

I just swapped my video HDD out for 10 minutes (had a 2nd disk to get something off) but when I plugged it back in GBPVR didn't have the recorded shows in the list. I did an mpegimport to bring them back in, so I guess GBPVR saw that the normal recording area wasn't there and tried to do something?

The issue I have is that the settings for the TV channels seem to maybe have got altered, as when I go to watch live TV on some channels this didn't work.

Could my GBPVR settings been changed? should I go back and re-scan etc?

There is a featuire with GB-PVR that, when it thinks there should be a recorded file, but it isn't there, it will immediately remove it from the database.

That's so if you do some file mainentance and clean out files using explorer for example, you won't have to update or edit the GB-PVR database.

More than likely, if you had the Recording and LiveTV directories set to that drive, when it 'disappeared' for that 10 minutes, GB-PVR couldn't live with out them and set them to the defaults of c:\

ISTR that when the auto EPG update is done the recordings database is exported to recording-dump.xml this file can be imported with the config > plugins import facility. So you should geta daily backup.
Thanks Sub, this has saved my skin a number of times when XP shuffled my drive letters.

Thanks - given I've already got my recordings displayed again using the mpegimport tool that I downloaded (turns up under the GBPVR start menu) I guess I would get no additional value from importing via the config > plugins import facility?

Doh!

Checked the tuning request parameters in the database file and they seemed OK + they were on C: drive anyway so I couldn't see how this could be the problem...and then......

happened to notice my indoor aerial connection was not plugged in properly, so the 2 channels working woudl have been not working due to not quite having enough signal strenght...doh!...oh well at least I got it working in the end Smile
