I just installed version 0.97.7 and my ATI HDTV recorder isn't working any more. =\

I tried the Map digital channels to EPG channels button, but I get:

"GBPVR was unable to start the BDA device you have configured. Check the device is configured properly and not already in use."

also when I go into GBPVR to watch live tv I get:

"failed to locate configured capture device"

I checked the ati program, and it is still able to view HD, but it seems that GBPVR isn't.

I also tried shutting it down and restarting but that didn't work either.

Any thoughts? I attached my config and GBPVR logs. Maybe something will jump out at ya. Thanks!

Can you post a complete set of logs, including the -native.log ones?

Looks like you've got your capture source configured as a Hauppauge analog card, but one of these is not present in your machine. Check your capture sources.

Sorry....I have 2 cards. one is a happaug 350 the other is an ati HDTV.

If I set the 350 to being card #1 and the ATI #2 then the 350 works and when I go to HD channels, it says BDA device can't be found.

If I change the device allocations to th 350 being #2 and Ati #1 then I get nothing. =\

I guess I sent it to you with the latter. =\

They should both be set to device #1. You only increase the device numbers if you have multiple card using the same driver names.

If you set them both to device #1 and are still having problems, zip and attach the logs again and I'll take another look. Every attempt to record or view TV in the previous logs were trying to use your misconfigured PVR350.

ok, you ROCK! problem fixed. I must have not realized that when I was converting my stuff over to the new database.

uh....now It is not scaling the video correctly. =\

I mean the hd gets streched to the size of my tv (4:3) When it use to be letterbox. I tried the tv size setting but it still wouldn't work correctly.

actually, sometimes for a while it would look correct, then it would just go to full screen. =\

any ideas on that one O god of PVR!!!!?? =)

Did you try pressing F7 to toggle between aspect ratios?

no, the way I did it was to close the program and then change it in the config.exe.

...I just tried it, and it did change it!

Thank you for that fix, but It never use to pop out of ratio. Meaning when I first start watching live tv in HD, it looks perfect.

then I change the channel and it looks good still (16:9) then when I go back to the previous channel, it's back to full size (4:3) when it was previously viewed in (16:9). It didn't do that in previous versions.

Thanks for your help!!

There was a bug in v0.97.7 that could account for it. That bug was fixed in v0.97.9
