I'm getting really fed up with XMLTV (and XMLTV Automate). It was working fine for awhile, now I haven't had an update since 6/24. Nothing has changed (except my GBPVR version). Anyone have any suggestions or should I switch my TV Guide source? And yes I'm using the current XMLTV version (5.34 I think).

Is it XMLTV or XMLTV Automate that is broken? Have you tried running the grabber yourself to see what happens?

XMLTV Automate just does nothing, no error message or anything, it says it's scheduled to run again tomorrow but I doubt it will. The grabber itself appears to run, but I'm not going to manually run xmltv every day.

I could not get XMLTV Automate to run properly as it always was looking a login passwd. Even though i gave it the correct one.

You could always do your own scheduling for xmltv grabber. I should work by putting what you need in a .bat file and schedule that to run.

Or I could switch to the other listing format. What I don't get is why it was working fine up until a week ago, then for no reason it's not working anymore.

XMLTV has moved to the Zap2it Data Direct format. There's a couple things you could do.
1. Download the latest XMLTV and use the the new na_dd format.
2. XMLTV-Automate is sort of the same. Download the latest XMLTV and replace the old AND modify the batch file that you use.
3. Easiest one. Sign up for the Zap2it Data direct service at Zap2it Labs. This is probably the best and it is quicker than XMLTV.

Keep in mind this always happened with XMLTV when Zap2it decided to change its format. Sometimes it happened in a 2 month period.

Gerry

EDIT: Of course Zap2it DD would only be good for US listings.

Done, done and done, *weeks* ago. I couldn't use the latest version had I not already changed to the DD account. Like I said, it was working fine up until a week ago, when it just suddenly stopped.
